Dow Corning has replaced Molykote 321 Dry Film Lubricant with Molykote D-321-R Anti-friction Coating, which will deliver the same coefficient of friction and load carrying capacity as Molykote 321 Dry Film Lubricant. Molykote D-321-R will be tested to the same level of lot acceptance requirements as Molykote 321.Because the conditions and methods of use of these products are beyond our control, this information should not be used as a substitute for customer tests, or as approval to use the replacement product in compliance with work instructions called out in maintenance manuals, service bulletins or other FAA documents.When a chemical is superseded by the manufacturer, the best course of action is to contact the document author and seek their guidance when considering a replacement chemical product.
