These starters are kickback protected and have ultra high torque, yet only weigh 9.4 pounds. They spin fast 160 RPM, yet only draw 115A on 24V The Sky-Tec 149-NLR/ec Starter is a counter-rotating 24-V in-line design used on some Lycoming engines. The motor provides extended cranking capability and kick-back protection. It's fast cranking speed helps optimize ignition timing for quick starts. This is a light weight design and requires no maintanance. Alternates with Lamar PM2404 starters.
