To avoid air leaks when using the ST483 Test Pad, you must install this gasket. See Lycoming Service Instruction 1462A dated July 10, 2003.To prevent oil leaks leaks on dual magneto engines with rear mounted propeller governor drives, Lycoming calls for the use of LW12347 Propeller Governor Pad Plate to be used in conjunction with two 72053 gaskets anytime a prop governor is installed. See Lycoming Service Instruction 1438A dated December 9, 2005 for additional details.
