The Sky-Tec NL series Flyweight Starter are supplied on 12V Piper aircraft with Lycoming engines. They are FAA PMA eligible on Lycoming 235, 290, 320, 340, 360, 540 and 720. These starters are kickback protected and have ultra high torque, yet only weigh 9.4 pounds. They spin fast 160 RPM, yet only draw 135A on 12V.The Sky-Tec 149-NL Starter alternates with Prestolite ERZ-8011, MZ4222, MZ4222R, Lycoming 31A21198, 31B21064, 31A22206, 31A22552, and PM1201, and Lamar PM1204.
